Madison has lived in Washington since she was two and half. She spent her childhood on farms and gardens, exploring the outdoors and gazing at the stars at every opportunity the overcast skies of the PNW gave her. She joined Quiet Heart Wilderness School in 2010 as a student, and then later became a counselor for Quiet Heart's summer camps.
Currently, Madison is on track to graduate from Alderleaf Wilderness College in June of 2018. After graduation, she plans to begin training in Search and Rescue while also serving as an outdoor educator in various programs. She loves bird language, climbing trees, and practicing stalking skills which may or may not include getting covered in mud and crawling through the underbrush. After spending so much time outdoors spending as a kid and a counselor, Madison has slowly fallen in love with outdoor education.
