Welcome to Quiet Heart Summer Camp!

We are excited for all the adventures we are going to embark on this summer with our campers!  Please use this information to help you prepare for camp this summer.  If you have any questions, please contact the office at info@quietheart.org or (425) 331-9011.  We are happy to help source supplies or answer any questions you might have!

Please be on time to summer camp.  We leave the drop-off area very soon after the camp begins.  Out of respect for our instructors’ time, families who are more than 15 minutes late for pick-up will be charged $10 for every additional 5 minutes.

Also, while our camps all have toilet facilities, please have your child use the bathroom before camp begins.

Packing List:

Please remember that Quiet Heart camps are held outside, no matter what the weather.  Every day, each student should wear weather appropriate clothes and closed-toe shoes that are comfortable for all day movement, and can get dirty and/or wet.  They should also bring the following in a backpack that they will be responsible for:

  • Sunscreen/hat
  • Any necessary additional clothing (Please remember that summer in our region is not necessarily warm or dry!)
  • Full water bottle (that student can carry)  (We will have group water jugs available to refill bottles.)
  • Healthy lunch (Please limit sugar-y treats)
  • A morning snack
  • Optional: a knife for wood carving. We recommend the Morakniv Companion Fixed Blade Knife  (Camp knives will be provided for those campers without their own knives. Quiet Heart’s knives are orange and if you decide to purchase a knife, we recommend buying a different color and labeling your knife.)
  • Optional: Cut resistant gloves that fit your student’s hands (Due to sizing limitations, we do not currently offer sharable cut resistant gloves)

Emergency Communication:

We would like to leave the parking lot shortly after drop-off. Once we move into the park’s woods it may be difficult to find us. In case of an emergency, or in order to find the group in the event of a late drop-off/early pick-up, you may call the lead instructor (number listed above). The Quiet Heart office cell is 425-331-9011, and an admin will also be available throughout the camp day. Please email the Quiet Heart office with any questions or to let us know of absences – info@quietheart.org

Air Quality Protocols:

QH Admin will be using the EPA’s Airnow Air Quality prediction tool to determine the safety of camp programs.  If the air quality prediction is listed as “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” (Orange, 101-150) we will still hold programs, but will adjust our activities to make them less physically intense.  If the air quality prediction is listed as “Unhealthy” (Red, 151-200), we will cancel programs for the day to ensure the safety of our students and staff.  Decisions will be made at 7am on the program day and any cancellations will be communicated via email to the primary contact in the registration system.

Thank you for sharing your child with us this summer! It’s going to be a summer full of new adventures, learning new skills, making friends, exploration, and FUN! Please feel free to contact the office with any questions you might have- info@quietheart.org or (425) 331-9011.

See you in the Woods!
