Ready to take your fire making skills to the next level? Want to be prepared in case of an emergency? Take this class and learn to make fire with nothing, but wood and string! Learn the craft of friction fire with a bow-drill fire!
In this workshop, you will learn the mechanics of bow-drill and make your own bow drill kit. Instructor Jeremy, a graduate of Alderleaf Wilderness College and Wilderness skills expert, will teach you how to make a bow drill fire step by step, including the materials you’ll need, the carving techniques used to create the kit, and body alignment and proper technique. This will require the use of a knife and good old-fashioned elbow grease! Unite your mind and muscles!
Ages 10+ with previous firebuilding experience, 13+ for complete beginners.

Location: Coyote Camp in Edmonds
Tuition: $80 per individual, $120 per family (adult+child)
