What’s that rustle in the Salmon Berry bush? Or that sweet song coming from the Douglas Fir? When starting out on your birding journey, the group affectionally dubbed as “Little Brown Birds” (or LBBs) by birders can be your most frequent visitors, and yet the toughest to distinguish.
Come join Bryan on a walk through Yost Park, and make friends with our Little Brown Birds. Bryan will start with some basic bird terminology and then work with the group to identify some of the most common suburban birds in Western Washington including (possibly) Dark-eyed Juncos, Song Sparrows, Pacific Wrens, and whatever other birds decide to join us!
